A Meeting held last night 9th May 2013 by Downs Speedway Ltd General Council.
It was unanimously voted by all, as of the 20th May 2013 for the appointment of a Promoter to conduct speedway at the Charlton Raceway Venue. for all speedway racing and dates please contact Alan Woods on 0412731608

Quarter Midget race meeting set down for the 19th May will be still going ahead as scheduled, Club presentation trophy night will still be held on the 6th July 2013.

Toowoomba Regional Council Grant

Charlton Raceway applied for a Sport and Recreation Grant that was conducted through the Toowoomba Regional Council. The grant was to support community organisation to develop facilities that are of benefit to the community - new facilities and upgrades. We were successful to obtain half the payment for a new light tower to be erected in the pit area where the pits had been extended. Charlton Raceway would like to thank Toowoomba Regional Council for their support in this project and also thank Harry Brazier for his installation of the new light tower.
