* Charlton Raceway Inc back in business The Board of Management have taken back control of Charlton Raceway Inc for the 2008/2009 speedway season.

Speedway Stars of the 70's Reunion DVD

The DVD from the Speedway Reunion is now available. The DVD contains old footage from the showgrounds, photos and footage from the reunion night itself. The cost is $20 through Patti Schultz at Autoland on 4638 2111.

Lismore Speedway Reunion * New

Lismore is having a reunion on July 25th at the Italo Club. RSVP by July 10th to Gerry Flood. Lismore Speedway website.

Driver's Meeting * New

The next driver's meeting will be held at the Newtown Hotel from 7pm on Tuesday, 21st July. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Qld Modified Production title photos * New

Congratulations to our new Queensland Modified Production champion, Shane Macdonald. Shane & Rodney Pammenter made the big journey to Cairns with the help of Dan Oliver and Peter Gray who towed Shane's racecar up and who worked tirelessly on both racecars throughout the weekend. Shane drove a sensational race to bring the title home to Charlton and Rodney came home in 5th.

New Regulations for Safety Apparel

NASR have set new mimimum safety standards in place as of July 1st, 2008. Read more details about these requirements here.

It seems that most club drivers will be in need of a new race suit to meet the new standards.

If you are unsure about your race gear meeting the new standards, please take it down to Thommo at Bandit Motorgear. He is happy to check that all of your gear meets the requirements.
