Junior News
10th March, 2008
I'm sure most of the juniors had an itchy right foot after the long break between races due to the rain. It was good to see Neisa Lack make the trek down from Maryborough to race on the clay at Charlton. Also good to see Jacob Hall make his debut in the refurbished ex Kayla Black Corona. I heard from a reliable source that young Jacob did most of the work on the car himself.
There were a few spins and two restarts in the first heat with James Campbell taking the win from Felicia Mitchell and Jesse Volk. Hayden Byrne had a big lose on the back straight but no damage was done.
The results were the same for the second heat with Felicia Mitchell showing some good speed and James Campbell having to work very hard to get around her.
James and Felicia shared the front row for the feature with Felicia's dad offering her a cash incentive if she could win. James and Felicia raced hard for a couple of laps before Felicia's engine blew forcing her to park on the infield. Back in the pack there were some good dices between Jayden Murphy, Jesse Volk and Ryan Jannusch. James took the win to make it a hat trick for the night with Jesse Volk second and the always improving Ryan Jannusch third.
Peter Campbell.
